It was never my intention to join a start-up. I have always been keen on joining management consulting, but meeting Bader Almubarak last year during my co-op period has completely changed my plans. In such a short period of time, I learned that not only did Soum have all the grounds that convinced me in joining management consulting, but it had a lot more! For instance, working at Soum is very fun. I remember leaving work as late as 12:00 AM after a long day of work immersed with joy about my day and excitement for tomorrow’s outcomes. Since the first day, it was clear that I am taking a place in an extremely rare and extraordinary opportunity. One of the unique factors about Soum is the fact that it is very enabling. Beyond the remarkable enabling means, taking high-risk initiatives is welcomed and asked for. Only in my first 6 months, I have been enabled to build a team of 1000+ team members and closed USD400K+ deals. This kind of pioneer leadership and incredible enablement is evident across all functions. The ambition in Soum exceeds the sky, and every team member is on a serious mission to build the next unicorn start-up in the Middle East.
Besides work, I enjoy experimenting with new activities and meeting new people. Just last week, I tried scuba-diving for the first time, it was literally a breath-taking and exciting experience. I am also fond of horse riding as it boosts my energy to kick off my week. During the week, I like playing chess and have participated in multiple chess competitions. Beyond the thrill of these activities, it allows me to interact with such great people. I remember meeting a traveler at a friendly chess game where I enjoyed hearing about his exciting traveling stories.
